Introduction: The Battle of the Geek Bars
If you’ve been in the U.S. disposable vape scene for a while, you’ve definitely seen the Geek Bar Pulse and the Geek Bar Pulse X taking over shelves and online shops. Both are sleek, powerful, and loaded with flavor—but which one really deserves your pocket in 2025?
In this guide, we’ll break down puff counts, charging speed, flavor variety, airflow performance, and price value so you can choose the perfect match for your vaping style. Whether you’re a casual vapor or an enthusiast chasing clouds, this comparison has you covered.
Puff Count Breakdown: Regular Mode vs. PULSE Mode
When it comes to puff counts, numbers matter—and Geek Bar makes sure you notice them.
-
Geek Bar Pulse: ~15,000 puffs in regular mode / ~7,500 in PULSE mode.
-
Geek Bar Pulse X: ~25,000 puffs in regular mode / ~15,000 in PULSE mode.
What does that mean in real life?
-
Regular mode gives you smooth, consistent output for long-lasting use.
-
PULSE mode cranks up the power, delivering thicker clouds and richer hits, but it burns juice faster.
If you’re a casual vapor, the Pulse’s 15K is already generous. But if you chain-vape or like a DTL (direct-to-lung) experience, the Pulse X’s 25K capacity is a game changer.
Design & Screen: Sleek vs. Futuristic
One of the biggest differences between these two is design innovation:
-
Pulse: Simple, compact, and ergonomic with a clear LED screen that displays battery and juice levels.
-
Pulse X: Upgrades to a 3D curved screen, giving it a futuristic smartwatch-like vibe. It shows puff mode, battery life, e-liquid levels, and makes the entire device feel premium.
For vapers who love tech gadgets, the Pulse X is like going from an iPhone 11 to an iPhone 15.
Charging Speed: The 20-Minute Advantage
Nothing is worse than waiting hours for your vape to recharge. Geek Bar fixed that:
-
Pulse: Standard Type-C recharge, relatively quick but not groundbreaking.
-
Pulse X: Marketed as “80% charge in 20 minutes”—an insane speed for a disposable.
If you’re always on the move, the Pulse X’s fast-charge could be the deciding factor.
Airflow & Style: MTL vs. DTL
This is where your vaping style matters most:
-
Pulse: Optimized for a classic MTL (mouth-to-lung) draw—tight, cigarette-like pulls. Perfect if you want something smooth and controlled.
-
Pulse X: Offers adjustable airflow and supports DTL (direct-to-lung) draws. If you like big clouds and open airflow, the Pulse X is designed for you.
In other words, Pulse = smooth daily driver, Pulse X = performance beast.
Flavor Selection: Who Wins?
Both Pulse and Pulse X share the massive Geek Bar flavor catalog, which includes fruity hits, icy blends, and dessert vibes. Popular options in 2025 include:
-
Miami Mint – crisp and refreshing
-
Sour Apple Ice – tart with a frosty finish
-
Blue Razz Ice – a Geek Bar classic
-
Peach Berry – smooth and sweet
The truth? Flavor isn’t the deciding factor—you’ll find your favorites on both devices.
Price & Value: Is Pulse X Worth the Extra Cost?
-
Geek Bar Pulse: Often priced around the mid-teens to low $20s.
-
Geek Bar Pulse X: Typically $5–$10 more, depending on retailer and bundle deals.
When you factor in 25K vs. 15K puffs and fast-charge tech, the Pulse X gives you more mileage for your money. But if you’re budget-conscious and don’t need cloud-chasing extras, the Pulse still delivers excellent value.
