Short answer: The Geek Bar Mate Plus 60K is the next and final version of the Geek Bar Mate 60K kit-and-pod system. It keeps the same e-liquid capacity and the same pod-plus-battery format. The one hardware change is a larger built-in pod battery, so the pod runs longer on its own. It also folds in the fixes from the Mate 60K 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 production runs and launches with new flavors. Geek Bar has not published the full spec sheet or a release date yet.
The Geek Bar Mate 60K is one of the best-selling kit and pod system disposable vapes in the Geek Bar lineup, and its successor is on the way. This is insider news from our distribution channel, so you will not find a press release for it yet. Below is everything we can confirm about the Geek Bar Mate Plus 60K today, what is still unannounced, and how it compares to the Mate 60K you can buy now.
Pre-release information. Details in this article come from JellyPuffs distribution sources ahead of launch. Exact battery figures, nicotine strength, pricing and the release date have not been published. We will update this page as soon as Geek Bar confirms them and the device lands in our TX warehouse.
What Is the Geek Bar Mate Plus 60K?
The Geek Bar Mate Plus 60K is an upgraded edition of the Mate 60K, not a new device family. It uses the same two-piece design: a pre-filled pod with its own small built-in battery, and a rechargeable battery base the pod snaps onto. Sold together, the pod and base make up the Mate 60K Kit; the pod is also sold on its own as a Mate 60K replacement pod.
According to our distribution sources, the Plus makes no major design changes. It holds the same amount of e-liquid as the current pod and keeps the smooth, consistent airflow the Mate is known for. The upgrade that matters is inside the pod: a larger pod battery, which extends how long the pod can be used without the battery base attached.
The Plus is also positioned as the final design of the Geek Bar Mate lineup. Rather than another mid-cycle revision, it is the version that closes out the series with every known issue from earlier production runs addressed.

The short version: if you know the Mate 60K, you already know how the Plus looks, fills and draws. The difference shows up when the pod is off the base.
Pod Alone vs Docked on the Battery
The Mate system gives you two ways to vape the same pod, and the Plus upgrade is aimed squarely at one of them.
Pod on its own
- Runs on the pod’s built-in battery
- Smallest, lightest setup for short trips
- Lighter draw and flavor than docked
- Plus upgrade: larger pod battery, so it lasts longer before you need the base
Pod docked on the battery base
- The recommended way to use it
- Stronger draw and fuller flavor on every puff
- Base supplies the main power for the coil
- Same experience on the Mate 60K and the Plus
We recommend keeping the pod docked on the battery for everyday use. The base delivers more output to the coil, which is what gives the Mate its stronger hit and more pronounced flavor. Pod-only use is a convenience option, and on the current Mate 60K its small cell limits how long that convenience lasts.
That is the gap the Mate Plus 60K closes. With a larger pod battery, the pod holds up for longer stretches by itself, so leaving the base at home for an evening becomes practical instead of a gamble. If you use a detachable battery vape mostly with the pod docked, you will notice little difference. If you pop the pod off often, the Plus is the upgrade to wait for.
What the Plus Fixes: Mate 60K 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0
The Mate 60K has changed more than once since launch. Geek Bar does not print revision numbers on the box, so the 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 labels below are the informal names used on the distribution side to tell production runs apart.
| Version | What changed and what users reported |
|---|---|
| Mate 60K 1.0 | Launch run. Most early complaints trace back here: leaking pods, units that would not fire out of the box, burnt taste early in the pod’s life, and display faults. |
| Mate 60K 1.5 | First revision. Leaking and no-fire reports dropped sharply. Some units still showed weak vapor and fast battery drain. |
| Mate 60K 2.0 | Current run. Battery drain and vapor-output complaints largely resolved, with more consistent flavor from the first puff to the last. |
| Mate Plus 60K | Final design. Built to resolve the issues reported across 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0, adds a larger pod battery, and keeps the same e-liquid capacity, smooth airflow and full flavor. |

New Flavors at Launch
The Geek Bar Mate Plus 60K will not launch on the existing menu alone. New flavors are scheduled to release alongside the Plus. Flavor names have not been shared yet, and we will not guess at them.
When the lineup is confirmed, we will add every new flavor to this article with its profile and an explicit iced or no-ice label, and list each one in our new arrivals as stock arrives.

Buy the Mate 60K Now or Wait?
It depends on how you use the pod.
- You keep the pod docked most of the time: the current Mate 60K already delivers the full-power draw and flavor of the system. There is little reason to wait.
- You often vape the pod without the base: the Mate Plus 60K and its larger pod battery are built for you. Waiting makes sense.
- You want the new flavors: they launch with the Plus, so watch this page and our new arrivals.
One open question: we have not yet confirmed whether Mate Plus 60K pods will work on a current Mate 60K battery base, or the reverse. We will test it with launch stock and update this answer.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Geek Bar Mate Plus 60K?
The Geek Bar Mate Plus 60K is the upgraded, final version of the Geek Bar Mate 60K kit-and-pod system. It keeps the same e-liquid capacity and two-piece design, adds a larger built-in pod battery, and resolves issues reported in earlier Mate 60K production runs.
When is the Geek Bar Mate Plus 60K release date?
Geek Bar has not announced a release date. The device is confirmed through our distribution channel as coming soon. JellyPuffs will list it in new arrivals as soon as stock arrives.
What is the difference between the Mate 60K and the Mate Plus 60K?
The main hardware difference is a larger pod battery on the Plus, which lets the pod run longer without the battery base. E-liquid capacity and the kit-and-pod format stay the same. The Plus is also the final design of the Mate lineup and launches with new flavors.
Can you use the Mate Plus 60K pod without the battery?
Yes. The pod has its own built-in battery and works on its own. Docking it on the battery base is recommended for a stronger draw and fuller flavor. The Plus pod’s larger battery lasts longer in standalone use than the Mate 60K pod’s 200 mAh cell.
How many puffs does the Geek Bar Mate Plus 60K have?
The Plus carries the 60K rating in its name; per-mode puff ratings have not been published. For reference, the current Mate 60K is rated up to 60,000 puffs in Regular Mode and about 30,000 puffs in Pulse Mode.
Does the Mate Plus 60K come in new flavors?
Yes. New flavors are scheduled to launch with the Plus. Names have not been released. We will add each one here with its profile and iced or no-ice status once confirmed.
Which Geek Bar Mate 60K flavors are iced?
Iced: Blue Razz Ice, Cool Mint, Miami Mint, Sky Blue Ice, Sour Apple Ice, Strawberry Mint Candy and Watermelon Ice. Every other current flavor is no ice.
What nicotine strength will the Mate Plus 60K have?
Not yet confirmed. The current Mate 60K uses 5% (50 mg/mL) salt nicotine and is listed as Texas compliant at JellyPuffs. We will confirm the Plus strength and Texas compliance status on the product listing at launch.
